# Kaabist Refund Policy

*Version 1.0, effective 4 November 2026. Part of the [Terms of Service](terms-of-service.md).*

Kaabist's subscriptions and credit packs are sold by **Paddle.com**, our merchant of record. Paddle
takes the payment, issues the invoice and makes every refund, to the payment method you used. This
policy says when you get your money back.

## Subscriptions (Developer, Team, Scale)

- **First payment, 14 days.** If you are not satisfied, ask within **14 days** of your first payment
for a plan and we refund that payment in full, whatever you used. Your subscription ends when the
  refund is made.
- **After 14 days, and every renewal.** You can cancel at any time in the panel (**Billing**). The
plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for and is not renewed; there is no
partial refund for the rest of a period.
- **Changing plan.** Upgrades and downgrades are prorated by Paddle at the time of the change; no
  separate refund is needed.

## Credit packs

- **Unused, 14 days.** A credit pack is refunded in full if you ask within **14 days** of buying it
and none of its credits have been used.
- **Used credits.** Once credits from a pack have been spent, the pack is not refunded. Unused
credits stay in your account for twelve months after purchase, as the terms say.

## When something goes wrong on our side

- A job that fails because of Kaabist gives its credits back automatically; you do not need to ask
  (Terms of Service §4).
- If you were charged twice, or charged after you cancelled, we refund the wrong charge in full,
  whenever you tell us.
- The Enterprise service-level agreement may give service credits for missed availability, as the
  order form says.

## When we do not refund

- An account suspended or terminated for breaching the [Acceptable Use Policy](acceptable-use-policy.md)
or the terms: unused credits are not refunded (Terms of Service §9).
- Free plan allowances and promotional or referral credits, which were never paid for.

Nothing in this policy limits a right you have under the consumer law that applies to you, or
Paddle's [buyer terms](https://www.paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms).

## How to ask

Write to **support@kaab.ist** from the address on your account, with the invoice or order number
(on the Paddle receipt, or in the panel under **Billing**). You can also ask Paddle directly at
[paddle.net](https://paddle.net). We answer within two business days, and a refund reaches your
payment method within 5–10 business days of approval, depending on your bank.
