# Checkpoint

A named point in a program that a job can restart from, so work already done is not done again.

A checkpoint can save the browser session as it is at that moment. The next job that binds the session and sets resume_from_session skips straight past the login to the step after the checkpoint, and a job that has to switch to a heavier way of loading the page restarts from its last checkpoint instead of from the top.

```
{
  "checkpoint": {
    "name": "logged_in",
    "save_session": "acme"
  }
}
```
